Jo-Ann George-Weekdays 5:00-9am

Jo-Ann was born in Montclair and raised in East Orange and Bloomfield, educated at Franklin School now the Whitney Houston Academy (I kid you not) and sent packing from Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School in 1973.

Jo-Ann continued her education at South Junior High School and Bloomfield Senior High where she excelled in splicing 35 mm movies for the A.V. Crew and cutting class to attend breakfast meetings at Willie’s Diner. She enjoyed her co-op education with Mr. Franciosa and the Bloomfield Police Department.

Following graduation her dreams of becoming a Police officer were shattered when she realized part of her job would be to perform body cavity searches.

Jo-Ann is a 19 year broadcasting veteran who credits WFMV’s Paul Masson as her mentor and Bob and Ray as her inspirations.

Jo-Ann plays devoted spouse to Bill, Proud Mom to Bobbie, Betsy and Becci and “Mum-Mum” to Austin, Miss Lexie, Alex, Ethan, Preston and a new grandchild arriving later this summer . Jo-Ann also collects dogs, cats and turtles and everything Superman.  In her spare time, she can be found paddling her kayak or reading.

She has been with SBG for five years and is enjoying the ride for as long as it lasts.
